Police respond to Silver Spring shooting

Montgomery County police responded to a shooting that occurred near Piney Branch and Manchester Roads in Silver Spring Monday night. The victim was injured, but police do not think the injuries are life threatening [Fox 5]

Same Rockville bank robbed two Sundays in a row

The Sun Trust branch in the Safeway grocery store located on the 14900 block of Shady Grove Road in Rockville was robbed Sunday for the second week in a row, according to Montgomery County police. Officers say a robber passed the teller a note at 3:52 p.m. this past Sunday, got cash and fled. The same scenario occurred on Jan. 27 at 4:05 p.m. [Washington Post]

Trone has lowest war chest in Maryland’s congressional delegation

Democratic Rep. David Trone, who was elected to Congress last year, has the lowest amount of cash on hand among the state’s eight congressmen in the House of Representatives, with $108,534. But Trone, a multimillionaire, has the ability to spend unlimited amounts of money on reelection. [Maryland Matters]
