The two men found in a vehicle that crashed Monday night in White Oak apparently died from gunshot wounds, county police said.
Police on Tuesday identified them as Jordan Alexander Radway, 23, of Laurel, and Christian Deon Roberts, 24, of Silver Spring.
A caller to 911 emergency dispatchers at 8:37 p.m. reported a vehicle had struck multiple cars in the 11600 block of Stewart Lane, east of Route 29 and New Hampshire Avenue near the White Oak Shopping Center, an area with a number of apartment buildings.
Police said the men were dead when they arrived. Detectives from both major crimes and crash reconstruction units continue to investigate the case.
Police did not say where or how many times the men were shot, what type of gun was used, what kind of vehicle they were in and a spokesman did not offer any theories on the case.
These are the first two homicides of 2019 in the county.
