Silver Spring Man’s ‘Jeopardy!’ Run Ends

Lichtig plans to donate some prize money to Shepherd’s Table

A Silver Spring’s man one-day reign as ‘Jeopardy!’ champion came to a close Friday.

Aaron Lichtig, the vice president of growth marketing for Bethesda startup custom manufacturing company Xometry, had knocked off Thursday’s returning champion, racking up $14,401 in winnings before falling in Friday’s contest to a supply-chain analyst from Ohio.

Lichtig is a board member of Shepherd’s Table, an organization that assists homeless people, and pledged to donate a portion of his prize money to the organization.

Lichtig began his pursuit of a spot on the game show in 2010, but wasn’t chosen. In 2018, he was called to the show’s California set to compete.

Aside from the returning champion, competitors are chosen randomly, and a week’s worth of episodes are recorded in a single day.
