The camera is in place during construction of an interchange at Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg. State highway officials say the bathroom is there for camera operators to relieve themselves, but drivers aren’t so sure. [Washington Post]

State extends free rides for furloughed workers

The Maryland Department of Transportation announced Sunday employees affected by the government shutdown will have access to free transit until Friday. [Washington Times]

Rockville man charged after bank robbery

Police said Jerail M. Netcliff, 28, entered a Bank of America on Thursday in Derwood, showed a gun and demanded money. He left with cash and fled in a rented van. Netcliff was apprehended on Sunday. [WTOP]
