Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property taken from two vehicles between Dec. 23 and Dec.28. One theft occurred in the 8100 block of Kerry Lane and the other in the 6100 block of Connecticut Avenue. Forced entry reported in one case.

Property taken from two vehicles between Dec. 26 and Dec. 28. One theft occurred in the 10900 block of Orleans Way and the other in the 11800 block of Grand Park Avenue. Forced entry reported in one event.

Commercial burglary

Cash taken from Autopart International at 2319 Stewart Ave. between 3 p.m. Dec. 22 and 7:34 a.m. Dec. 24. Forced entry eported.

Cash taken from California Tortilla at 4871 Cordell Ave. between 11 p.m. Dec. 26 and 8 a.m. Dec. 27. Forced entry reported.

Medications taken from a CVS Pharmacy at 3715 University Blvd. West the morning of Dec. 29.

Cash taken from Honey Pig BBQ at 12015 Rockville Pike at 6:05 a.m. Dec. 25. Forced entry reported.

Assault

Four suspects assaulted victims near Southlawn Court the evening of Dec. 30 while they were playing flag football.

Silver Spring

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property taken from multiple vehicles during the reporting period. Thefts occurred on Blair Mill Road, Fidler Lane, Ellsworth Drive, East West Highway, and Sligo, Eastern, Georgia and Thayer avenues. Forced entry reported in multiple events. Police arrested two suspects for the Fidler Lane thefts.

Vehicle thefts

Four vehicles taken between Dec. 23 and Dec. 26. Thefts occurred in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue, the 8100 block of Bonaire Court, the 1300 block of East West Highway and in the 800 block of Wayne Avenue. No forced entry was reported in any of the events, and each vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with the keys in the ignition. Two vehicles were recovered.

Commercial burglary

Cash taken from 7 Brothers Dry Cleaners at 7904 Georgia Ave. at 5:01 a.m. Dec. 29. Forced entry was reported.

Strong-arm robbery

Suspects assaulted a male and took his cash in the 8100 block of Georgia Avenue at 4 p.m. Dec. 29. One suspect displayed a weapon.

A suspect assaulted a male and took his cash and property in the 11100 block of New Hampshire Avenue at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 26.
