Montgomery County police are investigating a robbery of Sandy Spring Bank on Monday in Silver Spring.
The suspect entered the bank and displayed an object to a teller, stating it was an explosive device, police said. The suspect obtained cash and fled the bank.
Police responded at 10:49 a.m. to the bank at 8401 Colesville Road. Detectives released surveillance photos of the suspect shortly after the crime.
