Report notes 11 sexual harassment claims in state legislature

The Department of Legislative Services released findings on Thursday from a report on sexual harassment claims requested by a panel of lawmakers for the General Assembly. It is unclear how many lawmakers are cited in the report, which compiled complaints from December 2017 to November. [WTOP]

Armed carjackers shoot victim in Bel Pre

Two suspects robbed a pair of victims, shooting one of them, in the Bel Pre area of Silver Spring on Thursday. The victim was shot in the lower body and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred in the 14200 block of Pear Tree Lane. [Washington Post]

Shoppers increasingly rely on only Amazon as Christmas nears

As shoppers order those last few gifts in preparation for the holidays, Amazon’s share of online sales will increase by almost 50 percent while most rivals fade, according to the market research firm Rakuten Intelligence. Amazon’s output during the final stretch before Christmas will account for about half of all digital sales, Rakuten found. Speed of delivery and reliability are the primary factors for the influx of activity. [New York Times]
