Student who brought gun to school charged as an adult

Solomon Hernderon, a 17-year old student at Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, was charged with possession of an unloaded firearm after he brought a gun to school Tuesday. Montgomery County Police say the gun was registered to Hernderon’s father. [WUSA]

Gaithersburg biotechnology company names new CEO

Vipin Garg became president and CEO of Gaithersburg-based Altimmune Inc Nov. 30. Garg previously was the CEO of Texas-based Neos Therapeutics. He succeeds longtime CEO Bill Enright, who served in that role for more than a decade [WTOP]

Rockville company receives $800,000 in incentives for new headquarters

The Rockville-based biotechnology company RegenxBio Inc received a $700,000 conditional loan from the Maryland Department of Commerce, and a $100,000 grant from Montgomery County to help expedite the permitting process in its new location. [WTOP]
