Woman arrested in hit-and-run after driving with police officer clinging to the hood of her car

Denai Holly, of Washington, D.C., was arrested Monday morning after she struck Montgomery County Police Officer Christopher Jordan on Interstate 270 in Rockville. According to police, Holly had collided with another vehicle just before 8 a.m., and Jordan attempted to identify himself to her. Holly then accelerated toward Jordan as the officer exited his vehicle, carrying him one mile down the interstate on the hood of her car. [WJZ]

Potomac native Dwayne Haskins named as a Heisman Trophy finalist

Potomac native Dwayne Haskins, a sophomore quarterback for Ohio State’s football team, was selected as a finalist Monday night for the Heisman Trophy – one of the most prestigious honors in college football. Haskins attended The Bullis School and graduated in 2016. [WDTN]
