Marc Elrich outraised both of his two opponents by more than a 3-1 margin during the final two weeks of the Montgomery County executive campaign, pulling in more than $300,000.

Elrich, the Democrat who won the Nov. 6 election with more than 60 percent of the vote, raised a total of $303,993 between Oct. 22 and election day, according to his post-election campaign finance report. All candidates were required to submit the reports to the Maryland State Board of Elections by Nov. 20. Elrich, who submitted his report two days late, paid a $20 penalty, according to the elections board.

Elrich’s opponents in the race, independent candidate Nancy Floreen and Republican Robin Ficker, raised more than $91,000 and more than $5,000 respectively during the final weeks before the election.

According to his campaign finance report, Elrich received $282,930 in matching county funds as a result of his participation in the public campaign financing system. Elrich received a total of $1.5 million in public funds—$750,000 each for the primary and the general election—which was the maximum amount available for county executive candidates.

Elrich has $115,685 remaining in the bank, according to the report. Under the rules of the public campaign financing system, he must return any unused public funds to the county by Dec. 26.
