Updated: Two Gaithersburg Residents Found Deceased in Their Home Died by Suicide, Police Say

Updated 6:30 p.m. Monday Two Gaithersburg residents found deceased in their home Friday morning died by suicide, police said Monday evening.

At approximately 10:27 a.m. Friday, a home caregiver found 94-year-old Hung Ching Dou and 85-year-old Li Ping Dou deceased in their home on the 100 block of Chevy Chase Street in Gaithersburg, according to police.

The cause of their deaths was initially “undetermined,” police said, but the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore determined the cause of death for both residents was suicide.
