Montgomery County Public Schools will be closed Thursday due to inclement weather.
All school and community activities scheduled in school buildings Thursday were canceled. Administrative offices remained open.
MCPS had announced a late start early Thursday morning but announced the closures around 8:40 a.m. “based on an updated forecast with worsening weather conditions” throughout the day.
Day care programs in school buildings may remain open as scheduled.
