Updated: Search Continues for Missing Takoma Park Teen

Family has been unable to contact him since he left home Friday

Updated at 11:50 a.m. Monday: Montgomery County police confirm Carlos Alfredo Molina-Pineda has been located safe and unharmed.

Montgomery County police are searching for a Takoma Park teen who went missing Friday morning.

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section requested the public’s assistance on Tuesday to help locate 18-year-old Carlos Alfredo Molina-Pineda, who was last seen when he left his Garland Avenue home on foot at about 5:40 a.m. Friday. Law enforcement and the man’s family are concerned for his well-being.

Molina-Pineda is described in a police press release as a Hispanic male who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. Police could not provide an update on his status Wednesday morning.
