A new Silver Spring brewery is poised to pour a pint of fun on Friday night.
Astro Lab Brewing will hold its grand opening from 4 p.m. to midnight, debuting a “special” beer, along with tap beers and regional flavors from Bold Rock Cidery in Nellysford, Virginia, and The Sweet Farm in Woodsboro.
Co-founded by Matt Cronin and Emma Whelan, the Georgia Avenue brewery will be open from 4 to 11 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 3 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, 12 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Along with a variety of beers, a limited food menu will feature steak, chicken curry, roasted lamb, sausage rolls, pies and more, according to the brewery’s website that launched Tuesday .
The brewery hosted a soft opening last week and operated limited hours over the weekend.
