Two burglary suspects came through the roof of the club house at a private golf course in the middle of the night, but left empty-handed.

Montgomery County Police said they are looking for the two suspects who gained entry into the building at the TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm golf course around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 14.

In surveillance video released Friday, the two suspects—one bare-chested with a blue-and-white-striped shirt pulled around his face and the other gazing through a long-sleeve white shirt pulled up to his forehead—enter one room at the end of a hallway with items stored along the sides. In the video, they jiggle another door handle, which is locked.

“Detectives are still trying to determine how they got in through the roof,” Montgomery County police spokesman Officer Rick Goodale said. There was no obvious damage to the building—like, say, a hole—Goodale said.

Officers responded to the club house, at 10000 Oaklyn Drive, after a commercial burglary alarm was activated. The suspects were gone before they arrived.

Police released surveillance video on Friday in an attempt to identify the suspects.

Anyone who recognizes them or has information about the burglary is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710.
