Bethesda

House burglaries

Property was taken from a house on the 7300 block of Bradley Boulevard between 10:27 a.m. April 4 and 10:10 a.m. April 18. There were no signs of forced entry. A door had been left unlocked.

A house was broken into on the 9300 block of Ewing Drive between 6 and 9 p.m. April 30. Property was taken.

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from multiple vehicles parked on Greenwood, Walton and Greentree roads; Roosevelt, McKinley and Topeka streets; Melvern and Ewing drives; Wisconsin Avenue; Huntington Parkway and Lowell Place between April 17 and 21. No forced entry was reported.

Four thefts from vehicles occurred on Democracy Boulevard, Baldwin Court, Belhaven Road and Brixton Lane between April 19 and 21. Cash and property were taken. No forced entry was reported.

Stolen vehicle

A vehicle that was left unlocked with keys inside was stolen from the 7500 block of Pepperell Drive during the night of April 25. It was recovered April 27.

Garage burglary

On the same block and the same night that the vehicle was stolen, property was taken from a garage and a vehicle parked outside it. The vehicle had been left unlocked with a garage door opener inside.

Commercial burglary

Property was taken from New Health Sciences at 6903 Rockledge Drive between April 25 and 26. The door had been left unlocked.

Kensington

Theft at construction site

Property was taken from a construction site on the 3000 block of Findley Road at about 11:30 a.m. April 18.

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from two vehicles parked on the 9900 block of Old Spring Road and one on the 3900 block of Spruell Drive during the night of April 23. No forced entry was reported.

House burglary

A house was broken into on the 9600 block of Hawick Lane between 5 and 11:15 p.m. April 27. Property was taken.

Potomac

House burglary

A house was broken into on the 10100 block of Garden Way between 1:58 a.m. March 30 and 9:30 p.m. April 20. Nothing was taken.

Rockville

Attempted burglary at gun shop

There was an attempted burglary at United Gun Shop at 5465 Randolph Road in the early morning of April 21.

House burglaries

Property was taken from a house on the 4700 block of Coachway Drive between 2 and 8 a.m. April 26. The door had been left unlocked.

The burglary of a house and shed occurred at the same address on the 11900 block of Oden Court between April 24 and 26. Property was taken. There was no sign of forced entry.

Commercial burglary

A man broke a front glass door to a business on the 1700 block of Rockville Pike between 4 and 7 a.m. April 19. He stole an iPad, a cash register drawer and cash.

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from multiple vehicles parked on the 7100 block of Democracy Boulevard and the 11900 block of Oden Court between April 25 and May 1. No forced entry was reported.

Drug arrests

Four men were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, amphetamines and hydrocodone on First Street at 3:10 a.m. April 20.

A 33-year-old man was charged with possession of cocaine near Monroe Street at 5 p.m. April 24.

A 17-year-old was allegedly found with amphetamines on the 300 block of North Washington Street on April 25.

Vegetable oil stolen

A thief removed 500 gallons of vegetable oil from two waste containers on the 800 block of Rockville Pike between Jan. 26 and March 20. The theft was reported April 26.

Storage unit burglary

A burglar cut the padlock of a storage unit on the 800 block of College Parkway between Feb. 1 and April 24. Tools, video game consoles, video games, luggage, shoes, sporting equipment, papers and a shelving unit were stolen.

Assault

A woman heard a knock on the door of her apartment on the 1000 block of Rockville Pike at about 5 p.m. April 27. She answered the door and an unknown man assaulted her. Police describe him as about 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing black pants and a black mask, shirt and gloves.

Silver Spring

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from multiple vehicles parked on Fidler Lane, Georgia Avenue and Ellsworth Drive between April 17 and 19.

Cash, property and vehicle parts were taken from vehicles parked on Rosemary Hills Drive, Washington Avenue, 16th Street and Lyttonsville and Grubb roads between April 27 and 30. Force was used to enter two cars.

Commercial robbery

Four men assaulted an employee at the T-Mobile store at 8668 Colesville Road at 11:50 a.m. April 25. They stole merchandise.

Strong-arm robberies

A male robber assaulted a man and took his cash and property on the 1400 block of East West Highway at 9:17 p.m. April 26.

Three male teens from Washington, D.C.—two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old—were arrested after they allegedly took a boy’s property on the 8600 block of Colesville Road at 6:39 p.m. April 28.

A 20-year-old man from D.C. and 18-year-old woman from Hyattsville were arrested after they allegedly assaulted a girl and took her property on the 1100 block of Wayne Avenue at about 8 p.m. April 30. Police are looking for another 18-year-old woman who was allegedly involved.
