Property was taken when a residence was broken into on the 4800 block of Leland Street between April 13 and 16.

7-Eleven burglary

Two men stole broke into the rear storage area of a 7-Eleven at 5114 River Road and stole merchandise. The theft occurred in the early morning of April 14.

Attempted armed robbery

A woman displayed a weapon and assaulted a male rideshare driver on the 7100 block of Democracy Boulevard, near Westfield Montgomery mall, at 1:30 p.m. April 14. She attempted to take his property. The woman appeared to be about 22 years old.

Thefts from vehicles

Cash was taken from multiple vehicles parked on Rosedale Avenue, South Chelsea Lane and Chestnut Street between April 12 and 14. No forced entry was reported.

Chevy Chase

Thefts from vehicles

Property was stolen from four vehicles—two on Woodbine Street and two on the 3800 block of Leland Street—between April 13 and 16. No forced entry was reported.

Friendship Heights

Theft

A thief took property from an adult man on the 5500 block of Wisconsin Avenue between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. April 12.

North Bethesda

School burglary

A man stole cash from the Feynman School, a private school at 6300 Tilden Lane, between April 12 and 15. There were no signs of forced entry.

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from multiple vehicles on Aurora Drive, Orleans Way and Clermont, Rokeby, Strathmore and Kenilworth avenues between 2 p.m. April 12 and 5 p.m. April 13. No forced entry was reported.

Rockville

Commercial burglary

Montrose Towing was broken into at about 11:40 p.m. April 11. Cash and property were taken from the 375 Derwood Circle business.

Commercial burglary

A burglar entered a business on the 1100 block of Rockville Pike by pushing in a plastic window panel in a side door between 11 and 11:37 p.m. April 15. Rockville police don’t know if anything was taken.

Bicycle theft

A bike was stolen from a shed on the 200 block of Frederick Road between April 14 and 16. Police don’t know how the burglar got inside.

Attempted home burglary

An individual tried to enter a home on the 5700 block of Wainwright Avenue through a rear window between 1 and 4 a.m. April 17. Police believe the homeowner’s barking dogs may have scared the would-be burglar away.

Silver Spring

Strong-arm robbery

Two men assaulted a woman and took her property on the 8500 block of Colesville Road at 3:13 p.m. April 12.

Commercial burglary

A 29-year-old Silver Spring man was arrested in connection to a commercial burglary at Endpoint Promotions at 8115 Fenton St. at 11:30 p.m. April 16. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was taken.
