Dog Haus, a gourmet hot dog chain, is opening Friday in downtown Bethesda.
The restaurant will open at 7904 Woodmont Ave. in the former Parva space, according to a company press release.
A California-based chain, Dog Haus serves burgers, sides and shakes in addition to its signature dogs and sausages, including Das Brat, a bratwurst with caramelized onions, sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard, and the Downtown Dog, a hot dog wrapped in smoked bacon with caramelized onions and pickled peppers.
As a Dog Haus Biergarten, the location will also serve a selection of wines, 24 local craft beers, cocktails and alcoholic slushies.
Dog Haus has more than 30 locations across the country, and the Bethesda restaurant is the first on the East Coast. Inside, the restaurant has an industrial look with barstools and communal reclaimed wood and steel tables.
Dog Haus will hold a grand opening event with free hot dogs on April 21, according to the release.
The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, with a daily happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m.
