Community meeting scheduled to discuss Auburn Avenue project

February 20, 2018 11:01 a.m.

A developer is preparing plans for a residential project at 4915 Auburn Ave. in downtown Bethesda, according to a notice posted at the property.

The sign states that a developer is looking to build up to 175,000 square feet of multifamily residential and nonresidential space at the address, where there’s currently a professional office building constructed in the 1960s. The property has a building height cap of 110 feet under the zoning recommended by the Bethesda Downtown Sector Plan.

The developer will share more information about its sketch and preliminary plan application during a community meeting at 7 p.m. March 1 at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda.
