1 – Why are you running for this office? (75 words max)
I am running for Register of Wills to serve all of the citizens of Montgomery County. I believe the taxpayers of this County deserve to know more about this office and understand what this office does for the citizens of the County.
2 – What is the most important issue in this race and what specific plans do you have to address it? (100 words max)
There are several issues in regards to this office services or lack thereof. I believe the incumbent has done a poor job of reaching out to county citizens regarding this office services. The incumbent has been in this office for over 20 years and most citizens in the County don’t know who he is or what he does. I will change that. I plan to conduct quarterly information exchange seminars throughout the County for citizens to understand and know about the services this office provides and how to access them.
3 – What experience (work, political or other) has prepared you to hold this office? (100 words max)
Most elected offices do not have a job description, including Register of Wills. Subsequently, I believe that my years of living in the County and paying taxes in the County sufficiently prepares me for this office.

1 – Why are you running for this office? (75 words max)
My number one priority is providing efficient, professional and caring service to the public. The people who need the services of this office are experiencing the loss of a loved one. The staff must be knowledgeable and understanding. Secondly, the office must adapt to the growing, aging and increasingly diverse population to maintain excellent service for all. Lastly, increase automation whereby improving availability of information and eliminating paper.
2 – What is the most important issue in this race and what specific plans do you have to address it? (100 words max)
I will lobby for legislation allowing Register of Wills and Orphan’s Courts to accept E-filings, whereby saving time, money and space. I will continue to enhance Register’s on-line services to include an interactive website to assist with completion of forms and filings in order to bring services to the public rather than having the public come to the services.

• Probate/Judiciary Subcommittee to the Rules Committee
• Estates and Trusts Section of Maryland Bar Committee with Registers, Orphans’ Court Judges, Attorney General’s Office and Comptroller’s Office
