Valentine’s Day is an opportunity for couples to embark on a romantic evening of wining and dining, but two local restaurants are providing an option for singles, too, on Wednesday’s holiday.

The Daily Dish in Silver Spring and the Dish & Dram in Kensington, which are under the same owners, are both offering “Anti-Valentine’s Daymenus, with both happy hour and dinner offerings for single people, such as “Shot Through the Heart” and “Dark, Stormy and Divorced” drinks and “Eat Your Heart Out” ravioli stuffed with lobster, shrimp and cheese. Both restaurants are still offering traditional holiday menus as well, with a $50 three-course meal at both.

Here are some other offerings at local restaurants:

City Perch

The Pike & Rose spot is offering a $60 three-course meal including potato aligot popovers, filet and lobster, and truffles for dessert. Champagne pairings are available at $15 for a glass.

The regular menu will also be available, and all dinner guests will receive a complimentary rosé cava toast. Jaleo is hosting a pre-Valentine’s date night the day before.
