A woman went into a medical office in Bethesda and allegedly stole money from a cash box late last month, Montgomery County police said.

Employees at the Center for Ocular Reconstruction, a medical facility at 4845 Rugby Ave. that specializes in prosthetic eyes, reported the missing cash to police on Jan. 26, police said. On Friday, police released security camera footage from the office, which shows a woman entering from the elevator at about 6:39 p.m. Jan. 25.

In the video, the woman, who is wearing a black coat and hat, looks around the office space before removing her gloves and walking into a closed room. Inside, she turns on the light and appears to put down her purse.

Police did not specify how much money was missing.
