Strosniders is opening Wednesday on Connecticut Avenue in Kensington.
General Manager Bill Hart III said in an email to Bethesda Beat that the hardware store will open at 7 a.m.
The store, part of a local chain with locations in Bethesda and Silver Spring, takes the place of longtime local hardware store Hardware City, which vacated in June after 45 years at 10504 Connecticut Ave.
Hart kept the local feel of the former store during remodeling and said the store offers a wider selection of items. It’s about 30 percent bigger than Strosniders in Bethesda.
Earlier this month, Hart said the store would open by February.
The store will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
