After nearly two years in business, the Korean restaurant Bibim on Sligo Avenue will close.
A note taped the front door of the downtown Silver Spring restaurant says the last day of business will be Dec. 28 and will feature a $25 buffet and karaoke.
“We will party until we are done!” the note says.
Earlier this month, the restaurant began closing on Mondays and Sundays. It also discontinued its lunch service.
Bibim opened in February 2016 at 923 Sligo Avenue and served a menu of Korean specialties such as bulgogi, bibimbap and kimchi. The owner, Jung-Ah Park, was a bartender at the former Silver Spring American restaurant Jackie’s before she opened her own concept.
The restaurant was closed Friday afternoon when a Bethesda Beat reporter stopped by.
Source of the Spring, a local news blog, first reported news of Bibim’s planned closure.
