International Shorts Film Festival—Thursday night—Landmark Bethesda Row

Ten short films from around the world, including comedies from France and animation from Russia, will be screened at the International Shorts Film Festival on Thursday in Bethesda. The show will be followed by a Q&A with the festival director.

Tickets are $7.50 for the 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. event.

A Candlelight Christmas—Friday night—Strathmore, North Bethesda

The Washington Chorus will perform Christmas pieces like “The Dream Isaiah Saw” and “Hallelujah Chorus,” accompanied by brass and organ. The performance also will feature a candlelight processional.

Tickets are $33 to $79 for the 8 p.m. show.

PnB Rock—Friday night—The Fillmore, Silver Spring

Philadelphia-based hip-hop artist PnB Rock is coming to the Fillmore for what the venue is billing as a Christmas show. The singer, known for singles “Fleek” and “Selfish,” will perform after Maryland rapper YBS Skola.

Tickets are $25 to $60. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Winter Ice Show—Saturday night—Cabin John Ice Rink

Competitive figure skaters will perform at the annual Winter Ice Show, as will skaters from the Cabin John Ice Rink’s group lessons and Theatre on Ice class.

The 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. event is free, but the rink will accept donations of food items for Manna Food Center.

Hanukkah Menorah Lighting—Sunday night—Bethesda Avenue, Bethesda Row

To mark the Jewish holiday, Bethesda Row will have a kosher chocolate menorah on Bethesda Lane. Guests can make their own chocolate candies and enjoy hot latkes, hot cocoa, live holiday music and dreidels.

The free event starts at 5:30 p.m.

Motown & More Holiday Show—Sunday night—Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club

For a holiday celebration, the Bethesda Blues & Jazz is bringing out a concert with covers of classic Motown seasonal hits, including The Temptations’ “Silent Night” and “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and The Jackson 5’s “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”

Tickets are $20 for the 8 p.m. show.
