A minivan caught fire on East Jefferson Street Monday afternoon, causing emergency crews to block some of the lanes on the road.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service spokesman Pete Piringer wrote on Twitter that the vehicle fire began at about 12:30 p.m. Firefighters put out the flames before 12:45 p.m.
Crews blocked one northbound and all southbound lanes on East Jefferson Street near Montrose Parkway.
Traffic camera footage shows a dark-colored van with flames erupting from the engine. Substantial smoke filled the roadway before the fire was extinguished.
