Second restaurant announced for Urban Butcher owner
The chef and owner of Urban Butcher is opening a second restaurant in Silver Spring that will open this summer, The Washington Business Journal reported.
The restaurant is not yet named, but will be full-service and focused on dinner, according to the Business Journal. It will open in a 4,000-square-foot space on the ground floor of the Central apartment complex on Fenton Street, where two fitness studios are also planned.
Urban Butcher owner Raynold Mendizabal told Bethesda Beat on Tuesday that he wasn’t “ready to release any information,” but he will share more details about the restaurant soon.
Located on Georgia Avenue, Urban Butcher has built a reputation for its focus on meat dishes, including dry-aged beef and charcuterie.
