Aggravated assault
A 17-year-old boy from Bethesda was arrested around Old Georgetown Road and Democracy Boulevard after allegedly displaying a weapon in an aggravated assault at about 6 p.m. Sept. 27.
Garage burglary and thefts from vehicles
Property was taken from a garage and two cars at the same house in the 8600 block of Carlynn Drive overnight on Oct. 2. The garage door had been left opened and both vehicles had been left unlocked.
Burglary in Macy’s
Two young people broke into Macy’s in Westfield Montgomery Mall at about midnight on Oct. 3. Nothing was taken. Police arrested a 15-year-old boy from Rockville and are seeking another man who appeared to be about 20.
Rockville
Thefts from vehicles
Property was taken from a car in the 12200 block of Rockville Pike between noon Sept. 27 and the next morning. No force was reported.
House burglaries
A resident told police that when she was in another part of her house in the 300 block of Misty Knoll Drive between 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 28, another person entered the house through an unlocked door. The person went to a first-floor office and stole two credit cards, a check and an ID card from a purse.
Someone stole a video game system, a controller, 10 video games, jewelry, a laptop and a pair of shoes from a house on the 200 block of Blandford Street between noon Oct. 2 and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 3.
Apartment burglary
Wearing black gloves and using what police describe as “an unknown tool,” two men broke into an apartment on the 14000 block of Cove Lane between 3:30 and 5 p.m. Sept. 30. They stole a TV and placed it in their vehicle. As they were driving away, their car struck another vehicle in the parking lot. One man was about 6 feet 2 inches, according to police; the other was 5 feet 10 inches, wore a gray sweatshirt and had a tattoo of a snake on his forearm.
A burglar climbed up a balcony and entered an apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door in the 700 block of Monroe Street overnight on Oct. 1. Inside, the person stole an iPad, and stole a bike from the balcony on the way out.
Concealed weapon at Wootton High School
Police arrested a 15-year-old girl accused of possession of a concealed weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property at Thomas S. Wootton High School at 9 a.m. on Oct. 2. She allegedly had a knife.
Silver Spring
Strong-arm robbery
Three men assaulted an adult man and stole cash from him in a strong-arm robbery in the 8400 block of Georgia Ave. at about 10:45 p.m. Sept. 25.
Thefts from vehicles
Four cars were broken into in the 2200 and 2300 blocks of Colston Drive and the 1900 block of East West Highway overnight on Sept. 25. Property was taken.
More thefts occurred that night on Hamilton Avenue, Noyes Lane, Normandy Drive, McKenny Avenue, Dexter Avenue and Duvawn Place. Property was taken. No force was reported.
Cash and property were taken from cars on Cameron Street, Hartford Avenue, East West Highway and Devon Road. Force was reported in multiple thefts.
House burglaries
Property was taken from a house in the 8900 block of Courts Way overnight on Sept. 27. There were no signs of forced entry, and a door might have been left unlocked.
Property was also taken from a house in the 700 block of Wayne Avenue in the morning of Sept. 30. A window had been left unlocked.
