I’ll Get You Back Again—Thursday to Sunday—Round House Theatre, Bethesda

A rock-and-roll comedy with live music, I’ll Get You Back Again debuts at Round House Theatre this week. The play follows a stand-up comedian who fills in for her dead father on his psychedelic rock band.
Shows are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost $36 to $65. There is a pay-what-you-can show at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Kesha—Friday night—The Fillmore, Silver Spring

Pop star Kesha—known for hits “Die Young” and “Timber”—is coming to the Fillmore as part of her latest world tour. Her latest album, Rainbow, represents a return to music for Kesha, who has been embroiled in years-long legal disputes with producer Dr. Luke, who she alleged sexually assaulted her. Georgia-based garage rock bank Black Lips open for her.
Tickets are sold out through the venue, but available on other ticket sale sites starting at about $120. The show starts at 8 p.m.
The Smartest Girl in the World—Saturday and Sunday—Imagination Stage, Bethesda

The Imagination Stage begins a run of The Smartest Girl in the World this weekend. Aimed for audiences with kids ages 6 and up, the play follows siblings Leo and Lizzy as they compete for a school competition and dream of successes.
Shows are at 1:30 and 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $12 to $30. The show runs through Oct. 29.
The Midtown Men—Saturday night—Strathmore, North Bethesda

Four men from the original cast of Broadway play Jersey Boys have joined together as the Midtown Men. The concert celebrates the music of the 1960s, but Strathmore stresses that it is not affiliated with Jersey Boys.

Michael Feinstein—Saturday night—AMP by Strathmore, North Bethesda

Five-time Grammy nominee Michael Feinstein begins his yearlong collaboration with AMP, which calls him “the preeminent ambassador of the Great American Songbook.” He’ll cover songs from classic performers like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby on Saturday.
Tickets are $95 to $175 for the 8 p.m. show.
John Lennon birthday tribute—Saturday night—Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club

Legendary Beatle and British singer-songwriter John Lennon would have turned 77 on Monday. The Bethesda Blues & Jazz is celebrating his life with a tribute performance featuring Washington, D.C., bands playing his songs.
