Former O’Malley cabinet secretary indicted

Isabel FitzGerald, the secretary of the Department of Information Technology in former Gov. Martin O’Malley’s administration, was indicted for allegedly receiving bribes from the Indiana IT firm The Consultants Consortium to guide subcontracts to the firm. The allegations revolve around subcontracts on $360 million in state contracts. [Baltimore Sun]

County Council committee to receive Purple Line briefing Thursday

Maryland suing EPA over air pollution from other states

The state believes power plants in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia are polluting the air in Maryland because the plants aren’t using their pollution-control technology during the summer months.
