A BMW overturned after a crash on Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda Tuesday morning in which two people were injured.
Before 8 a.m., a gray BMW X3 and a blue Hyundai crashed at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Cheltenham Drive near Woodmont Triangle.
The BMW sat on its side with its roof detached and its windows broken as firefighters were at the scene just after 8 a.m. The Hyundai’s hood was heavily dented and a tow truck was preparing to tow it away.
A firefighter on the scene said one person was removed from the BMW.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service spokesman Steve Mann wrote on Twitter that two people were taken to the hospital—one with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and another with minor injuries.
Crews had closed lanes of Wisconsin Avenue while responding to the crash.
No other information was immediately available.
