Police Blotter: Three Motorcycles Stolen from County Parking Garage in Bethesda; Teen Had Two Knives at Richard Montgomery High School

Bethesda

Motorcycles stolen

Three motorcycles were stolen from the Woodmont-Rugby Garage, a Montgomery County-operated garage at 8216 Woodmont Ave. The three people reported their motorcycles had been stolen between Sept. 3 and 10, police said.

Cash and property were taken from three cars along MacArthur Boulevard, Clara Barton Parkway and River Road between Sept. 5 and 9. Someone forcefully broke into two cars.

More thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were also stolen from cars parked on Wisconsin Avenue, West Virginia Avenue, Kentucky Avenue, Chase Avenue, Highland Avenue, Battery Lane, Brandt Place and Manning Drive between Sept. 7 and 11. No force was reported.

Home burglary

A house on the 2800 block of Washington Avenue was broken into between 1 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 7. Property was stolen.

North Bethesda

Commercial burglaries

Hospitality Staff and G-W Management Services, both businesses on the 5000 block of Nicholson Lane, were broken into between 5 p.m. Sept. 5 and 7:08 a.m. Sept. 6. Property was taken from Hospitality Staff, but nothing was taken from G-W Management Services.

Rockville

Thefts from vehicles

Cash, property and car parts were stolen from cars parked on Quince Valley Drive, Outpost Drive, Snapdragon Circle, Pebble Hill Lane and Pebblewood Drive between Sept. 4 and 8. No force was reported.

Weapons at Richard Montgomery High

A 16-year-old boy at Richard Montgomery High School was reported to police for having concealed dangerous weapons on school property on Sept. 5. He had two knives with him at school.

Apartment burglary

Three people—two men and one woman—entered an apartment club house on the 1600 block of East Jefferson Street between Sept. 5 and 8. Police do not know how they got in.

Armed robbery

A woman was at home on the 100 block of Moore Drive between 11:20 and 11:28 a.m. Sept. 7 when she sensed someone was behind her. When she turned around, she saw a woman she knew who didn’t have permission to be inside. The intruder was holding a gun and went through the house and took personal documents. She then fled in a car.

Burglary at Five Guys

A burglary was reported at the 12238 Rockville Pike Five Guys in the early morning of Sept. 10. Nothing was taken. A door had been left unlocked.

Burglary at Honda Powersports

Four men broke into Honda Powersports—a store that sells motorcycles, scooters and other recreation vehicles on 5412 Randolph Road—and stole property in the early morning of Sept. 12.

Silver Spring

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from cars on Pratt Place, Capitol View Avenue, Day Avenue, Montgomery Avenue and Prospect Street between Sept. 5 and 9. Force was reported in one incident.
