Anybody: Improv Comedy Musical—Friday and Saturday—Imagination Stage, Bethesda
Hamilton, a hip-hop musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda following the life of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, basked in accolades and became a huge Broadway hit. Now, North Coast, a hip-hop improv team from New York City, is presenting its own take on the musical—performing improvised rap operas about any given historical figure.
Tickets are $20 to $100 for 8 p.m. shows Friday and Saturday.
In the Heights—Friday, Saturday and Sunday—Olney Theatre Center
In other Hamilton-related news, Bethesda’s Round House Theatre and the Olney Theatre Center last week started their production of another play by Miranda. His first Broadway musical, In the Heights, follows a group of young people in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City.
Shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $64 to $95. Many days are sold out, but the play runs through Oct. 22.
Field Dedication—Friday—Winston Churchill High School, Potomac
Churchill High alumni and special guests will help dedicate the school's baseball field in memory of Chuck Stevens, the founder and longtime coach of the program. More than 15 members of Stevens' family are expected to attend the event, which will start at 4:30 p.m. in the school's auditorium.
There will be a tailgate-style reception during the football game, a halftime presentation of a bronze plaque and a postgame gathering at Clyde's Tower Oaks. An alumni baseball game will be played on Saturday.
Stevens founded Churchill's baseball program in 1964 and led the team to a state title in 1979, according to a press release. His teams won 214 games during his 25 years as a coach.

An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes—Saturday night—Strathmore, North Bethesda
Best known for starring as Westley in the 1987 classic The Princess Bride, actor Cary Elwes will participate in a discussion with Washington Post pop culture editor Zachary Pincus-Roth at Strathmore’s Music Center. The event includes a screening of The Princess Bride.
Tickets are available from $25 to $55, with VIP tickets for $125. The event starts at 8 p.m.
Post Malone—Saturday night—The Fillmore, Silver Spring

Rapper Post Malone first made a name for himself with his hit “White Iverson” in 2015 and has since toured with Fetty Wap and Justin Bieber. His next project is tentatively titled Beerbongs and Bentleys.
Tickets through The Fillmore are sold out, but are available through Stubhub and other sites starting around $120. The show begins at 8 p.m.
Small Press Expo—Saturday and Sunday—Marriott North Bethesda Hotel and Conference Center
Promoting independent comics, cartoons and graphic novels, the Small Press Expo is an annual festival for artists, writers and publishers. This year, the expo features a number of writers and authors as speakers.
Tickets are $15 for Saturday, $10 for Sunday or $20 for both days. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Shawna Caspi—Sunday—Positano, Bethesda

Shawna Caspi, a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Toronto, has toured the United States and Canada the last several years and just released her fourth album, Forest Fire. She’s playing at Positano in Woodmont Triangle.
Tickets are $15 to $18 for the 7 p.m. concert.
