Clarksburg woman to appear in court for disappearance of her two children
Catherine Hoggle, a Clarksburg woman whose two children disappeared nearly three years ago, is appearing in court today, and her lawyers are expected to ask the judge to drop the misdemeanor charges against her. She was the last known person to see Sarah, 3, and Jacob Hoggle, 2, on Sept. 7, 2014. She currently faces counts of child neglect, but prosecutors believe she may have murdered the children and is feigning mental illness to avoid trial. She has been undergoing treatment at a psychiatric hospital since January 2015. [WTOP]

Hogan attorney threatens investigation of Frosh if he doesn’t block fine

Dirk Haire, an attorney for Hogan, says he will ask the state to investigate misconduct from Attorney General Brian Frosh if he doesn’t block the fine. [Washington Post]
Hogan didn’t invite Democrats to transportation announcement
On Wednesday, Hogan held an event in Annapolis announcing a major, $22 million construction project to add a lane to the Severn River Bridge on U.S. 50. No Democrats were invited, including House Speaker Michael E. Busch, though the event was in his home district. Political scientists question Hogan’s repeated choice not to invite Democrats to announcements of transportation projects. [Baltimore Sun]
