A car overturned and caught fire in Bethesda near the Washington, D.C., border early Sunday morning, leaving the driver with minor injuries, according to officials.
The car overturned at the Westmoreland Circle, at about 2:45 a.m., according to the Glen Echo Fire Department. Responders were initially called to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Duvall Drive, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Spokesman Pete Piringer posted on Twitter.
The Glen Echo Fire Department and MCFRS firefighters responded. Medics took the driver to a hospital.
In a separate call, on Saturday at about 2 p.m., firefighters responded to a motorcycle that caught fire on the northbound lanes of Interstate 270 between Old Georgetown Road and the Beltway. Piringer reported there were no injuries in that incident and some lanes were blocked as firefighters extinguished the flames.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated the crash occurred at Massachusetts Avenue and Duvall Drive. The initial call was to that intersection but the crash occurred at the circle.
