Two cars collided, causing one to overturn, on Wisconsin Avenue on Tuesday morning, Montgomery County police said.
A white Chevy Impala and a silver Buick Encore SUV crashed at about 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Wisconsin and Woodmont avenues entering downtown Bethesda, officials said.
The driver of the Impala was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, police officers on the scene said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Officers did not confirm how the crash occurred, but said it happened in the middle of the intersection. The Impala’s front and bumper were damaged while the SUV had a heavily damaged windshield and roof. Officers said they believed the SUV overturned before righting itself.
