Police searching for Montgomery Village bank robber
The man allegedly robbed the Sandy Spring Bank at 9921 Stedwick Road on Monday by passing a note to a teller that said he had a gun, according to police. The man obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank. [Montgomery County police]

Trone talks about Total Wine’s business in interview
Total Wine & More founder David Trone said alcohol pricing in the future will be transparent, with consumers able to quickly scan a product barcode and review prices from different retailers, which means selection will separate businesses. The Potomac businessman also reiterated his plan to run for either Montgomery County executive in 2018 or for the 6th District Congressional seat if Rep. John Delaney doesn’t run for reelection.
