Marjorie Roher, the spokeswoman for the county Board of Elections, said 61,000 people have voted with an absentee ballot.

Montgomery has 656,674 registered voters, state board statistics say.

For people who are voting on Election Day on Tuesday, Roher suggested they not vote first thing in the morning if possible because of the likely long lines.

“Those voters who can vote from 10 and 4 have easiest time,” she said.

Lines haven’t been long in the evenings of recent elections, Roher said. And a voter who is in line at 8 p.m. will get to vote, she said.
