Strathmore (www.strathmore.org) is a multidisciplinary arts center that presents more than 300 shows annually on five stages of varying capacities. Along with performances of popular music, contemporary dance, spoken word and theatrical entertainment, Strathmore hosts arts education presentations, a chamber music and recital series, and approximately 10 exhibitions per year in the historic mansion.

What a donation buys:
• $250 buys supplies for a spring break arts camp for 20 low-income fourth- and fifth-graders.
• $1,000 brings one Montgomery County second-grade class to the Music Center for a classical concert.
• $10,000 pays for the education components of a multiday residency by world-class classical or jazz artists, including school outreach programs reaching more than 1,000 students.
Volunteer opportunities:
• One day: Help with projects and special events, such as Museum Shop Around.
• Weekly, monthly or longer-term: Usher Music Center performances or act as a docent at the front desk of the Music Center or mansion.
