Attempted strong-arm robbery in Woodmont Triangle
At about 4:49 p.m. July 22 in the 7700 block of Fairmont Avenue, a male suspect assaulted a juvenile male victim as part of an attempted robbery.
Cash stolen from Elm Street Dunkin’ Donuts
Early in the morning of July 25, someone broke into the Dunkin’ Donuts at 4945 Elm St. and took cash. Police did not provide a suspect description.
Home burglaries
The first happened at a home in the 5200 block of Abingdon Drive between July 22 and 25 and the second happened at a home in the 7200 block of Selkirk Drive in the early morning hours of July 25. Property was taken from both homes.

Robbery at designer clothing store
Two suspects, a man and a woman, assaulted a woman and took merchandise from the Saks Jandel store at 5510 Wisconsin Ave. The incident happened at about 4:05 p.m. July 25.

Two commercial burglaries
In the early morning hours of July 23, a man got into Tito’s Pollo at 7821 Eastern Ave. and stole cash and other property. Early in the morning of July 26, a Washington, D.C., man who was later arrested broke into a Citgo Gas Station at 8333 Fenton St. and stole cash and other property.
Rockville
Medication stolen
At 12:30 p.m. July 20, one suspect walked behind the front counter of a business in the 15200 block of Shady Grove Road and took six bottles of prescription medication as a second suspect held open the front door and acted as a lookout.
Cell phones stolen
Two men entered a business in the 1600 block of Rockville Pike between 10:50 and 11 a.m. July 21, walked over to a display and stole three cell phones before running out of the store.
