The Bethesda Urban Partnership (BUP) has announced participating restaurants and menus for the 27th annual Taste of Bethesda, the outdoor food and music festival set for Oct. 1 in Woodmont Triangle.

Six of the 46 participating restaurants are new: Duck Duck Goose, Fish Taco, Gold Leaf Bakery, Modern Market, Quincy’s Bethesda and Tropical Smoothie Cafe.

Favorites such as Georgetown Cupcake, Louisiana Kitchen & Bayou Bar, Mussel Bar and Grille, Olazzo, Ruth’s Chris and Jaleo—with its giant paella pan—will return.

BUP, the county-funded organization that puts on the Taste of Bethesda, says the event draws about 45,000 attendees each year. Last year’s festival was cancelled for the first time in the event’s history because of predicted heavy rains and high winds.

This year’s Taste of Bethesda will include five stages for musical performances and a children’s area with arts and crafts activities, balloons and face painting.

There is no admission charge to attend the event, but tickets are required to purchase food samples. Attendees can buy four tickets for $5. Food and drinks from participating restaurants cost one to four tickets.

The Taste of Bethesda will be set up along Norfolk, St. Elmo, Cordell, Del Ray and Auburn avenues.
