Police Blotter: Man Reportedly Pulls Gun in Traffic-Related Argument; Teens Arrested for Drawing Graffiti

Rockville

Two teens arrested for drawing graffiti

Between 11:39 and 11:59 p.m. July 13, an 18-year-old and 19-year-old were arrested in the 300 block of Hungerford Drive for malicious destruction of property, obstructing and hindering, possession of graffiti material and failure to identify themselves to a police officer.

Man on motorcycle allegedly pulls out a gun during traffic-related argument

The complainants reported the man, a white male about 30 years old with a mustache and goatee and on a red motorcycle, pulled out a gun and threatened them during a traffic altercation near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Atlantic Avenue. The incident happened between 5:45 and 5:59 p.m. July 15.

Bethesda

Burglary from construction shed at apartment building

Someone broke into the shed at the Chelsea Towers at 7401 Westlake Terrace between July 12 and 14.

The incident happened at about 2:48 p.m. July 13 at a home in the 9400 block of Spruce Tree Circle.

Thefts from vehicles

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred throughout Bethesda between July 11 and 15. In each case, property was taken from inside the unlocked vehicles on streets including Hillmead and Beech Tree roads and Roosevelt Street.

Two strong-arm robberies

The first happened at about 10:45 p.m. July 13 in the 8800 block of Manchester Road and involved a black male suspect, age 30 to 35, assaulting an adult male victim and taking his property.

The second happened in the early morning hours of July 16 in the area of Fenton Street and Burlington Avenue and involved a black male suspect and adult female victim. The suspect failed to take any of the victim’s property.

Kensington

Property stolen from open garage

Two suspects burglarized a garage in the 9600 block of Hawick Lane at about 4:10 p.m. July 17.
