Leggett, Floreen to reaffirm county’s solidarity with the Muslim community

County Executive Ike Leggett and Council President Nancy Floreen will sign a joint statement Thursday afternoon at the Islamic Society of Germantown during an annual summit of Muslim leaders and county officials. Leggett said he wants the Muslim community to know “they are valued and respected.” [Montgomery County]

Elevator closed for repairs at Shady Grove Metro

Minor league team creates Larry Hogan bobbleheads to raise cancer awareness

The Bowie Baysox will give away two bobbleheads of Gov. Larry Hogan, one with hair and one without hair, at a game later this month. MetroAccess contractor settles with Maryland, D.C. and Virginia in fraud dispute

The contractor alleged to have committed fraudulent billing for Metro’s service for the disabled settled out of court with attorney generals throughout the region. The contractor, MV Transportation, will pay Maryland $92,000. [Washington City Paper]
