Updated at 2:45 p.m. – An overturned tractor trailer involved in a collision on the Capital Beltway inner loop has forced lane closures Wednesday afternoon.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer said “some lanes” are blocked on the Beltway between the Rockville Pike and Connecticut Avenue exits. The tractor trailer was carrying a large pipe and at least one other vehicle appears to have been involved. Piringer said there were no serious injuries in the crash.
Traffic cameras are showing back-ups resulting from the lane closures.
