The fire, reported at about 8 p.m. Sunday in a home in the 5800 block of Sonoma Road, caused about $200,000 in damages and displaced the three adults and four pets who live there. [MCFRS]

Police investigating body found in Rockville hotel room as suspicious death

Police said first responders located the body Saturday in a hotel room at the Red Roof Inn at 10601 Shady Grove Road. Police are investigating the case as a homicide because of apparent trauma to the victim, but didn’t say whether the victim was a man or woman. [Montgomery County Police]
