A last-minute amendment from a Baltimore County state senator to add punitive damages in civil lawsuits involving drunken drivers could hurt the bill that would expand the use of ignition interlock systems in the state, supporters say. [The Washington Post]

Rockville speed camera inaccurately records school bus speeding

The speed camera contractor admitted in a letter to the city of Rockville that the camera incorrectly read the school bus’s speed at 54 mph in a 25 mph zone because the “large surface area of the bus reflected the radar beam onto vehicles moving in the opposite direction.” [MD Drivers Alliance]

Edgemoor, Bradley Hills sidewalk improvements set to begin this week
