Commercial burglary at Accuracy in Media

Property was taken from the conservative watchdog group Accuracy in Media’s offices at 4350 East West Highway during the early morning hours of March 4. Police found signs of forced entry.

Break-in on Bradmoor Drive

Someone broke into a residence in the 8800 block of Bradmoor Drive sometime between 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 6, but nothing was reported stolen.



Man pulls knife on woman on North Washington Street

A woman told police that she spotted an unknown man inside her vehicle parked at the 200 block of North Washington Street around 7:15 p.m. March 1. As she approached the vehicle, the man exited the vehicle, pulled out a knife and then fled in the direction of Monroe Street. Police described the suspect as a black male, about 5 feet 8-inches tall, 17 to 18 years old, and with a thin build, brown eyes and very short black hair. (Rockville police)


16-year-old arrested at Wootton High School

Rockville police charged a 16-year-old boy March 3 with possession of marijuana and intent to distribute marijuana on school property after an incident at Wootton High School.

Assault reported on Veirs Mill Road


A man told Rockville police that another man whom he did not know struck him as he was leaving a business in the 2000 block of Veirs Mill Road around 9:45 p.m. Feb. 29. Police described the male suspect as about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds, and with a medium build and short gray hair who was last seen wearing a yellow coat and blue jeans.


Residential burglary on Fawcett Street


Police are looking for a man, about 20 to 25 years old, who reportedly forced his way into a residence in the 10300 block of Fawcett Street and took property around 4 p.m. March 3.

Three suspects arrested in CVS robbery

Three men ranging in age from 19 to 26 were arrested after a commercial robbery occurred during the early morning hours of March 4 at the CVS store at 3600 University Blvd. West. Police are looking for two other men whom they believe were involved in the incident. Merchandise was stolen from the store.

Property was taken from vehicles on Edson Lane, Commonwealth Drive, Tudor Lane, Woodglen Drive and Old Georgetown Drive sometime between March 1 and 2.

Commercial robbery at ILORI Optical

A man and a woman reportedly assaulted an employee and took merchandise at the eyewear shop at 5330 Western Avenue around 5:30 p.m. March 8.
