Judiciary Committee approves 'Noah’s Law'

The Maryland House Judiciary Committee approved the bill named after fallen Montgomery County police officer Noah Leotta that would require more individuals convicted of drunken driving to use ignition interlock devices. The bill now goes to the full House of Delegates for consideration, while a state Senate committee is expected to review it next week. [The Washington Post]

Elrich criticizes Westbard Plan

Montgomery County Council member Marc Elrich said he would not vote for the Westbard Sector Plan and called it “probably one of the worst planning decisions ever made” because it could significantly increases density in an area with a lack of transit. [MyMCMedia]

Leggett 'delighted' about Purple Line progress
