Children's arts and crafts store also closed its New York locations

An arts and crafts emporium geared toward children has closed on Bethesda Row.

Make Meaning, which opened in June 2014 in the 5,000-square-foot upstairs space at 4809 Bethesda Ave., also has closed its New York City locations “in preparation for some exciting new franchising plans in 2016,” according to the company’s website.

Only two locations remain open, one in Arizona and one in Kuwait.

The store hosted children’s birthday parties and featured activities including candle-making, cookie decorating and a glitter tattoo parlor.

A sign posted in the storefront’s door read, “Make Meaning Bethesda Row has officially closed for business. Thank you for all your support!”
