Montgomery County police released images Tuesday of a woman who allegedly stole several credit cards from a locked vehicle parked at Bethesda Sport & Health and then charged over $7,000 on the stolen cards.
Police said the credit cards were taken Dec. 21 from a wallet that had been hidden under a jacket in the vehicle’s backseat. Some cash and credit cards were left in the wallet and police believe the thief may have left the items so the victim wouldn’t immediately realize the credit cards had been stolen.
Police said they obtained the photos of the woman from a Bethesda store where the stolen credit cards were used. Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 240-773-6726.
